About US

Our School of Languages, Escuela Oficial de Idiomas (EOI), is a public educational institution under the authority of the Ministry of Education. We welcome a diverse community of learners—teenagers, university students, professionals, and adults of all ages—who aim to improve their communicative competence in different languages for academic, professional, or personal purposes. We provide high-quality teaching in an inclusive, multicultural environment through meaningful, practical, and interactive learning.

Languages We Offer

Our school provides a wide range of languages, including:

• English
• French
• German
• Italian
• Portuguese
• Spanish

Course Structure & Academic Calendar

The school year runs from October to May. For Spanish, we also offer intensive courses organised into two semesters. Students attend approximately five hours of lessons per week.

Admission

The main admission period takes place between April and May of the previous academic
year.
Remaining places (vacant seats) may be requested during September.

CEFR Levels

We offer the following CEFR levels:

• A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 – available in all languages
• C2 – available in English, Spanish, and Italian

Our courses are available with a broad range of timetable options to meet students’
needs.

Official Certification

Each successfully completed level is awarded an official certificate, recognised within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Erasmus+ Programme

Since 2023, the EOI of Salamanca has participated in several Erasmus+ KA122 mobility
projects aimed at teacher training, and it holds programme accreditation for the 2024–2027 period. We began by carrying out a KA122 project in 2023 focused on teacher training. Since obtaining our accreditation in 2024, we have been implementing KA121 projects that include mobility opportunities for both teachers and students.
